Beijing–Moscow in just six days
Russian and Chinese railway enterprises have launched a new China–Russia–Europe express freight train. The first service in the framework of a memorandum on the organisation of high-speed cross-border railfreight services departed from Beijing passenger station at 18:00 Moscow time on 21 July, and arrived at Yaroslavsky railway station in Moscow at 18:30 on 27 July.
The cargo was delivered by rail in just six days. The consignment consisted of LED lamps and stationery traded through e-commerce channels and was transported a passenger train's postal baggage car. The service was organised by RZD-Logistics. The memorandum was signed on 8 June 2018. (ben)
