Bertschi opens Antwerp terminal
The Bertschi Group has officially inaugurated its new Antwerp Zomerweg Terminal (AZT), aiming to reinforce its role as a key logistics player in Europe’s largest chemical cluster. Covering 60,000 m², the trimodal site enables integrated truck, rail and inland waterway access.
AZT provides storage for over 2,500 teu, including 1,290 for dangerous goods. Equipped with four 650-metre tracks and 60 container heating stations, the terminal is designed for handling, storage and redistribution. The official opening took place on 7 May 2025, with Swiss ambassador to Belgium Jacques Pitteloud and Antwerp port representative Johan Klaps addressing over 100 invited guests. (js)
