Better service between first and last mile

In China, trucking service provider Ming Zhu has signed an MoU to acquire the controlling interest of Xinjiang Feipeng Logistics, a provider of slack coal shipments for the "first and last mile" by a road-railway intermodal system based in Xinjiang.

When completed, the acquisition will effectively increase Ming Zhu's capacity by approx. five times its current level of around 1,000 trucks.

Under the MOU, Ming Zhu will be responsible for logistics and timely container transport of slack coal linking mines with essential railroad transportation. Feipeng will be responsible for providing transportation services linking road and railway to delivery slack coal and containers. (ben)
