Bitterfeld logistics site sold
Garbe Industrial, Bremer and Quakernack have sold a large logistics property in Bitterfeld (Germany) to a fund managed by Clarion Partners Europe. The facility, located in the Technologiepark Mitteldeutschland, comprises 125,000 m² of leased space on a 222,000 m² site and is fully let to automotive industry tenants. The asset was developed in three phases and features air-source heat pumps and a 4.5 MW rooftop photovoltaic system.
Located near the A9 motorway, the site connects the region with Leipzig, Berlin, Nuremberg and Munich. Garbe’s CIO Dr Peter Bartholomäus highlighted the growing demand for ESG-compliant logistics assets in established locations. (js)
