BLG wins contract for fashion logistics
In Germany, Bremen-based BLG Logistics will be in charge of multinational fashion logistics for its client Halluber, a provider of outer garments, shoes and accessories headquartered in Munich. The logistics provider and the fashion company have concluded a long-term contract to this effect.
BLG Sports & Fashion Logistics will be responsible for all in- and outbound services from its logistics centre in Hörsel in the federal state of Thuringia, including the intake of the goods supplied by almost 100 companies from Europe and Asia.
The garments will be delivered to roughly 200 stores in Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Italy. The warehouse for online orders will also be supplied from the Hörsel hub.
All in all, BLG expects to process more than 3.3 million individual pieces of clothing per year from this facility which is specially designed for the multi-channel business. (sh)
