Burden too heavy for Roland Spedition Bremen

The Delmenhorst, near Bremen (Germany)-based forwarding company Roland Spedition is insolvent. According to a report the firm went into receivership on 25 March. The aim is to restructure the company and then hand over an ongoing operation. Some 25 employees are affected.

Roland Spedition has focussed on international special overland, air and sea transport services since 1977. The firm has forwarded transformers weighing more than 100t, spare parts for energy production in North Africa, and containers and trucks for hospital extensions in the Middle East. It was the political changes in precisely this region that led to contract postponements and cancellations.
