Cargologic Germany files for insolvency

Another victim of the war in Ukraine: the cargo airline Cargologic Germany, which only started operations in September 2019, has had to file for insolvency.

The competent insolvency court in Leipzig appointed airline restructuring expert Lucas F. Flöther (Airberlin, Condor Flugdienst, etc.) as provisional insolvency administrator. Flöther is currently taking a look at the situation and examining the restructuring options together with his team.

The airline, which operates from Leipzig-Halle Airport, was created in a similar way to Cargologicair UK around the Russian Volga-Dnepr Group. Unlike the British airline, Cargologic Germany felt the impact of the sanctions against Russia early on, and its active flight operations were suspended already on 11 March 2022. (ah)
