CCCC signs a contract with the port of Trieste

The port of Trieste (Italy) and the China Communications Construction Company (CCCC) will join forces to facilitate the development of infrastructure in central Europe.

Zeno D’Agostino, president of the port system authority of the eastern Adriatic, and Song Hailang, the leader of the Chinese group CCCC, have signed a key agreement concerning rail networks near the port system of Trieste. The main focus will be on the new Servola and Aquilinia railway stations.

The contract will also increase the influence of the port of Trieste in central Europe and in China’s maritime markets and allow the port system authority to explore new opportunities related to CCCC’s project to build and manage a major intermodal terminal at Kosiče (Slovakia). (kd)
