Christopher Connor chosen as Aapa's new CEO

The American Association of Port Authorities (Aapa), the unified and recognised voice of seaports in the Americas, has unanimously chosen Christopher J. Connor as the association’s next president and CEO.

Connor, the former Global CEO of Wallenius Wilhemsen Logistics, will begin transitioning into his new role on 23 September 2019, eventually succeeding Kurt Nagle, Aapa’s president and CEO since 1995.

"The association’s executive committee is pleased to have found an outstanding individual to assume leadership of this hemisphere-wide association representing seaports," said William Friedman, Aapa’s chairman of the board.

"Connor has a track record of transformational leadership in the ocean shipping industry. Combined with his deep industry knowledge and institutional tenure, this makes him uniquely qualified to lead the association successfully into the future." (mw)
