Confidence in the air at Maximus
Mohamed Ebrahim Al Qassimi has become the new CEO of Abu Dhabi (UAE)-based Maximus Air, an air cargo specialist that is experiencing strong growth. Al Qassimi's career previously includes participation in the establishment of Air Arabia and working as an advisor to GE Aviation's top management.
In his new role as head of Maximus, which is one of the biggest specialist cargo operators in the Middle East, he will be responsible for expanding the airline's reach into new markets. According to Al Qassimi, opportunities include the increasing demand for VIP air cargo.
The airline is also completing a new freight forwarding business that will capitalise on the strong logistics industry in UAE and is looking at growth markets in Europe and Africa. (elg)
