Dallas: perishables now handled by Dnata
Dnata Cargo, which will participate in the Iata World Cargo Symposium in Dallas from 13 to15 March 2018, has opened a 3,440 sqm cargo centre that includes the only dedicated cool-chain perishable cargo facility at Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) airport in Texas (USA). The step follows the recent acquisition of a cargo facility in Houston TX (see ITJ Daily 15 May 2017).
Developed as a part of its agreement with Air Logistix USA which it acquired last year, Dnata opened the facility in cooperation with the Dallas airport authority. Some 1,670 sqm of the infrastructure is dedicated to innovative cool-chain solutions with experienced staff to ensure that perishables such as pharmaceuticals, fruits, vegetables, fresh fish and seafood, meat and flowers maintain their freshness during the entire air transport process.
