DHL inaugurates Lyon gateway
DHL Express France has inaugurated a EUR 121 million gateway at Lyon-Saint Exupéry airport — its largest investment in France outside Paris CDG.
The 50,000 m² site will process up to 17,500 parcels per hour and support various delivery types, from local to international. Located in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, the hub strengthens cross-border trade links and integrates DHL’s full service portfolio.
According to DHL the site, which includes 78 EV charging points, improves on the energy efficiency of the old site by 55%.
It reflects DHL’s EUR 425 million investment in France since 2018 and supports the group’s goal of zero emissions by 2050. (js)
