Distribution hub for tyre dealer Delticom

The foundations for a new distribution hub for the online tyre dealer Delticom have been laid in Ensisheim in the Alsace (France). The developer in charge of the project is investing around 300 million in the 185,000 sqm centre located close to major transport networks in the border triangle of Germany-France-Switzerland.

Delticom plans to start operating the logistics hub, which is being planned and built by the French GSE group, in the autumn of 2020. The company will make full use of one of the two logistics halls that are planned on the site. This facility will cover an area of 70,000 sqm, include a fully automated high hall and comply with strict security standards.

“We have adapted our plans to meet Delticom’s specific demands to make sure that the tyres are stored safely,” says Roland Paul, CEO of the GSE group. The second hall is designed as a multi-use warehouse and large parts of it have already been leased. (mw)
