EGT Express shuttle connects Vilnius and St Petersburg weekly
EGT Express has launched consolidated transport services and less-than-truckload shipping options from its Vilnius hub to cities in the St Petersburg region of Russia. By providing a direct line with a base in Lithuania, EGT Express has shortened transit times by up to three days.
All partial loads from Europe are collected and picked and packed in Vilnius, where EGT Express also runs a branch office. The groupage line, whose main route runs between Vilnius and St Petersburg, departs weekly. The shuttle also serves the cities of Sebezh, Velikiye Luki, Veliky Novgorod, Pskov and Vyborg, offering transit times of 5 days max.
The service offers inbound and outbound forwarding solutions. Irina Stepanaviciene, head of EGT LT, told the media that "this line ensures that cargo arrives in Russia via our own local transport network, which is connected to other lines covering the whole of Asia as well as other European countries. Our services are available for export and import requirements alike." (ben)
