Emir Pineda from Miami Airport joins Tiaca board

Emir Pineda, trade & logistics manager of the marketing division of Miami-Dade aviation department, which operates Miami international airport (MIA), has been elected to the board of the international air cargo association (Tiaca).

Pineda started his career as an intern at MIA in 1988 before embarking on a career that saw him work in senior business development roles for cargo trade at both Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) airport and Air France/KLM Martinair Cargo.

“It is an honour to have been selected as a member of the board of Tiaca, the only organisation that truly represents the entire cargo supply chain,” said Pineda.

“For my tenure I would like to continue to pivot the association towards innovation, thus adding value to our members and the entire global logistics industry. In addition, I hope to attract greater focus and participation from Latin America, which has historically been underrepresented in the association.” (mw)
