Emirates SkyCargo upgrades fleet with green trucks
Emirates SkyCargo has added 40 Euro 6 trucks from MAN Trucks to its fleet, the first long-haul Euro 6 vehicles in the Middle East. This move aims to cut CO2 emissions by around 17% annually, supporting the airline's sustainability goals. The trucks feature advanced safety tech, including AI-powered driver monitoring, reverse cameras and 360° visibility, along with real-time tracking and security features.
They improve efficiency for the airline's freight operations between Dubai airports, handling over 1,000 t daily across the 77 km corridor. This fleet upgrade builds on previous investments, such as hydrogen trucks and demonstrates Emirates SkyCargo's commitment to greener, smarter logistics. Allied Transport, a key partner, highlights how innovation and environmental responsibility are central to their shared vision for a sustainable future in regional transport.
