Ethiopian Airlines adds belly capacity to Windhoek
Ethiopian Airlines has extended its Boeing B787-8 service on the Addis Ababa – Windhoek (Namibia) route, launched last year. Previously scheduled from 1 - 27 October, the widebody aircraft with a belly cargo capacity of 137 cbm will continue to operate during northern winter season, i.e. after 29 October. The bigger aircraft replaces a narrowbody B737-800. The route is served four times a week.
As an African first, Ethiopian Airlines expects to take over the B787-9, an even bigger version of the Dreamliner (172 cbm of cargo capacity), sometime next month. (ah)
