Eurocontrol calls for centralised services
Eurocontrol published 14 calls for interest for centralised services on 21 March 2014. A centralised service is an air navigation support service (ANS) exercised at pan-European and central network level for the purposes of harmonisation and cost-efficiency. They will support air navigation service providers (ANSPs) and EU member states to come closer to, or actually achieve the EU cost efficiency performance targets.
Centralised services are a means to implement some high-tech Sesar technology and at the same time to create a market for a limited amount of ANS support services on a central pan-European basis, covering the airspace of the 40 Eurocontrol member states. The closing date of these calls for interest is set at 28 May 2014.
