Extremely positive trend coming to an end?
Cargo throughput (airfreight + airmail) at Fraport’s home base Frankfurt airport (FRA) rose to 195,230 t in October 2017, up by 0.6% year-on-year. Traffic for the first ten months of the year increased by 4.3% to 1,847,957 t.
In the same month, Ljubljana (LJU) and Lima (LIM), the other fully-consolidated airports of the German company, handled 1,449 t (+55.6%) and 29,515 t (+0.8%) of cargo respectively, reaching 10,154 t (+19.6%) and 229,064 t (-0.2%) since the beginning of the year.
The figures for the Bulgarian airports Burgas (BOJ) and Varna (VAR) are: 1,414 t (+11.3%) and 20 t (+85.1%) in October, and 21,664 t (+16.4%) and 202 t (+40.8%) for the year to date. (ah)
