Faces and projects for drone businesses
Airflow, a US aeriallogistics company which is building the first electric-STOL aircraft for middle-mile logistics, has appointed Allan McArtor to its advisory board. McArtor, who was chairman of Airbus Americas for nearly two decades, will advise Airflow as it works to build the solution for rapid middle-mile logistics amid the global surge in e-commerce.
Dronamics has hired Sergio Oliveira e Silva (photo) as its new COO. He joins the European drone company from his former position of managing director, Asia at Gama Aviation.
Oliveira e Silva's task will be to develop and oversee Dronamic's new airline business, starting with Dronamics Airlines (Ireland), Dronamics Airlines (Canada) and Dronamics Australia. (amh)
