First series-produced hydrogen truck registered
The first hydrogen truck from series production has received German road approval at Cologne’s vehicle registration office. The "Xcient Fuel Cell" manufactured by Hyundai is the first of the initially 44 hydrogen trucks to join Hylane’s rental fleet, which will be deployed on road networks all over Germany.
The Cologne-based company Hylane is committed to sustainable and innovative mobility in the transport sector and provides climate-friendly vehicles from various manufacturers for this purpose in a usage-based rental model.
The goal is to expand the fleet to 150 vehicles by 2024. The Hyundai truck has a range of around 400 km and the hydrogen is stored in seven tanks. (ben)
