Flykargo supports return of Jetblue's cargo business

Miami FL (USA)-based Flykargo announced a partnership with Jetblue Airways to facilitate air cargo movement between Fort Lauderdale FL and San Juan as part of a three month pilot programme that begins on 15 October.

Accompanied by GSA Force, a GSA with offices across 14 countries, and the cloud-based airfreight management software company Smartkargo, air cargo services will be provided to registered freight forwarders and known shippers.

Services will begin with a traditional air-to-air offering and will gradually include door pickup and delivery extension in additional markets.

By leveraging the excess cargo carrying capacity available on over 250 airplanes Jetblue, which discontinued cargo operations in autumn 2015, aims to provide the right balance of speed and cost to its customers. (ah)
