France: corridors to bundle rail operations
Euro Cargo Rail (ECR), based in France, has completed its restructuring measures and established three corridors - namely Nord, Mediterranée and Atlantique. The three transport corridors are oriented around existing operations and bundle all trains and as the resources behind them.
The Nord corridor mainly involves transport operations in northern France, Belgium and the UK, while the Mediterranée corridor covers trains in southeastern France and links from Italy to the Mediterranean and Spain, especially the major port of Barcelona.
The Atlantique corridor runs from Saarbrucken (Germany) to the Atlantic coast via Paris and Bordeaux, linking Germany, France and Spain. (ben)
