Fresh fish from Norway

Starting today, 14 December 2020, Qatar Airways Cargo will launch thrice-weekly B777-300 passenger freighters to Harstad Narvik airport (EVE). Adding to the carrier's existing Oslo service, this new offer provides over 150 t of cargo capacity for exporters from northern Norway each week.

Guillaume Halleux, Qatar Airways chief officer cargo, said that "we're pleased to introduce cargo capacity in cooperation with NordicGSA, and support northern Norway’s seafood and salmon exporters, who'll benefit from direct connection to African, Asian and Middle East markets."

Martin Langaas, director traffic for development and cargo at the airport operator Avinor, added that "our partnership with Qatar Airways Cargo has been a success for us and the national seafood industry. With the opening of a second gateway for seafood exports, Norway’s connectivity will further improve." (ah)
