Fresh news for flying fish from Norway to China

Starting today (15 May 2019), the Chinese carrier Hainan Airlines is operating a nonstop route between Beijing and Oslo. As the first direct connection between the capitals of Norway and China, the thrice weekly A330-300 service is also a short route for Norwegian seafood which has taken off in recent years.

Martin Langaas, the cargo director at Avinor, the operator of Oslo airport: "A direct route to China will be extremely beneficial for the export of fresh Norwegian seafood to the quickly expanding Chinese market. Fresh fish has a short shelf-life, and faster transport times will help ensure the products' quality." (ah)
