Generation change at TIS

Josef Bielefeld, founder and up to now sole owner of TIS, a provider of telematics solutions, has transferred some of his company shares to his son Fabian Bielefeld. The increase of the number of shareholders ensures that the company, which was founded in 1985, remains in the family’s hands over the long term.

Fabian Bielefeld has a professional training in logistics and has been working in the family firm since 2010. After six years in administration, he took over the management of international projects in 2016. When Peter Giesekus, managing director for sales, leaves the company in November for reasons of age, Fabian Bielefeld will also assist the sales division. Furthermore, he will become increasingly involved in management issues.

Josef Bielefeld withdrew from the company’s management in 2016, handing the reins over to Markus Vinke. By restructuring the company shares, the founder has now paved the way to make TIS fit for the future. (mw)
