Hapag-Lloyd promotes Dheeraj Bhatia
Hapag Lloyd’s supervisory board has appointed Dheeraj Bhatia to the company’s executive board, effective 1 January 2024. Bhatia will also become CEO of the new Rotterdam-based Hapag-Lloyd Terminal Holding, in which Hapag-Lloyd’s infrastructure holdings will be pooled.
Bhatia has more than 20 years of experience in the container shipping business. He has held international management positions at Norasia Container Lines Limited, CSAV and other companies. In 2014, he joined Hapag-Lloyd as managing director and initially headed the Area India department.
Bhatia has been based in Dubai as senior managing director of Region Middle East and member of Hapag-Lloyd’s executive committee since 2018. (cj)
