Hong Kong's success depends on third runway

The Association of Asia Pacific Airlines (AAPA) reiterated its support for the construction of a third runway at Hong Kong international airport (HKIA) to meet future passenger and air cargo demand and support Hong Kong's ongoing economic and social development.

Andrew Herdman, AAPA's director general, said, "Hong Kong needs a third runway in order to remain competitive as a major aviation hub, and take advantage of such future growth opportunities."
