Hungarian railway invests in train control system
Hungary has commissioned Siemens to equip the Százhalombatta - Pusztaszabolcs railway line with a train control system (TCS). Commissionning is expected by December 2020. The 26 km long double-track line is an extension of the Kelenföld - Százhalombatta line in Hungary.
The country's rail network is currently being modernised, and the installation of a TCS is part of a global project to upgrade and expand the Budapest Kelenföld - Croatian border railway line. This, in turn, will eliminate a major bottleneck on the Mediterranean corridor, Siemens said. (ben)
