Increasing intermodal terminal capacity in Poland
The Dutch logistics and transport company Schavamaker is extending its railway siding in Kąty Wrocławskie (Poland). After the extension, the railway siding will have two 600 m tracks. The facility will then be able to serve four trains a day, said Schavamaker.
The area has already been levelled and construction site infrastructure has been put in place. The implementation phase will last about four months. The Schavamaker Invest's management board assured the public that this will not be the last investment it makes in connection with the extension of its intermodal terminal in Kąty Wrocławskie. A tender procedure for the extension of certain roads and yards in the Kąty Wrocławskie container terminal is pending too. (ben)
