Knight-Swift acquires UTXL
Phoenix-based Knight-Swift Transportation has bought all equity interests of Kansas City-based third-party logistics company UTXL for around USD 22.5 million.
UTXL specialises in full truckload services in USA, Canada and Mexico. It generated over USD 100 million in operating revenue in 2020. Knight-Swift will keep the UTXL brand and independent operations.
Knight-Swift Transportation is an NYSE-listed trucking company and originated from the merger between Knight Transportation and Swift Transportation Company in 2017. In the USA, it is currently considered to be the industry's largest full truckload company, operating with an extensive fleet of approximately 19,000 trucks, 58,000 trailers and a staff of 24,000 people.
