Korean Register reappoints Lee Hyungchul


The current chairman and CEO of Korean Register (KR) Lee Hyungchul is extending his tenure for three more years, as he was elected as the company’s twenty-fifth chairman and CEO at the extraordinary meeting of KR’s general assembly on 22 December 2022.

 

During his thirty years with KR, Hyungchul has held many senior roles, leading key departments including the statutory service team, the London branch office, the overseas business development team and the Seoul branch office.

 

Hyungchul had also served as executive vice president of KR’s Business Division, before he was appointed to chairman and CEO for the first time back in December 2019.

 

Korean Register was established in 1960 and currently classes an international fleet of 3,082 vessels totalling 80 million GT. (cj)
