Less airfreight through Los Angeles


Officials of Los Angeles International (LAX), the airport that will host the next Iata World Cargo Symposium (11-13 March 2014), announced that their facility processed just over 1.92 million t of air cargo (mail and freight) in 2013, 1.5% less than the 1.96 million t in 2012.

 

Freight (goods) dropped by 0.9% to 1.84 million t in 2013 (2012: 1.88 million t), whilst airmail plunged by 12.6% to 77,286 t in 2013, from 88,438 t in 2012.
