Maersk provides shipping to Ukraine

The Danish shipping company A.P. Moller – Maersk has found a solution to continue the transport of freight to Ukraine, while taking into account safety rules. There will be two routes to go to Ukraine, more specifically to the port of Reni.

Vessels will depart from the Port of Constanta (Romania) and will travel either through the Danube Channel or the Black Sea. This weekly barge service will have a transit time of approximately 1.5 days.

Bookings at Maersk can be made from all over the world, which was not available in 2022. They will be subject to operational capacity and submission of the correct documentation, which includes legal acceptance of a Ukraine clause due to ongoing risk in the area. (lh)
