Major flag state recognises IRClass
India’s register of shipping (IRClass) has obtained authorisation to act as recognised organisation and recognised security organisation to carry out statutory survey, audit and certification of Bahamian ships and audit and certification of companies operating Bahamian ships.
This latest recognition by the Bahamas, which, with its with more than 56 million gross tons, is amongst the top six flag states in the world, reflects the increasing acceptance of IRClass by major maritime administrations worldwide. The Indian entity is now approved as a recognised organisation by 25 countries, not including its homeland.
