Metamorphosis: old factory into new logistics centre

Panattoni Europe is building a multifunctional production and logistics facility on the former Reckitt-Benckiser production site in Ladenburg, near Mannheim (Germany). The property developer and local commune will work together to revitalise one of the last large development sites in the Rhine-Neckar region for commercial reutilisation.

Building work on three halls encompassing 20,000 sqm, 23,000 sqm and 8,000 sqm of storage and production areas with a maximum height of 12.2 m will start in Q2/2018. The project also includes 2,500 sqm of space for offices, staff rooms and mezzanine floors.

Panattoni is investing more than EUR 70 million in the refurbishment scheme, the first phase of which is due for completion at the end of 2018/beginning of 2019. The third hall should be ready for use at the end of 2019.

Thanks to a flexible construction form, Panattoni Logistic Park will be an ideal multi-user platform for production and logistics processes.  (mw)
