More distribution in Saudi Arabia
Al Maya Group, a large FMCG retailer based in the UAE and with over 90 stores in the Middle East, is transforming its warehouse management. The Dubai-headquartered company has selected the LFS warehouse management system from Ehrhardt Partner Group (EPG), among others, to implement the automation.
Al Maya Group wants to control all processes for its almost 2,500 different items from the central distribution centre in the future. The group's distribution department focuses on fresh products sourced directly from the countries of origin.
The distribution division's premium customers include Carrefour, Lulu Hypermarket and other retail outlets, in addition to Al Maya Supermarkets, the company's own supermarket chain.
The new 22,000 sqm distribution centre is now being used to organise operations and move goods to each new storage unit - without interrupting ongoing operations. (sh)
