More multi-mission aircraft for Paraguay
Textron Aviation has delivered two multi-mission Cessna Grand Caravan EX to the Paraguayan Air Force. The turboprop aircraft are expected to enter service in the Fuerza Aérea Paraguaya (FAP) during the second half of 2021 and join three other aircraft of this type currently in operation.
Bob Gibbs, vice-president of special mission sales, saiod that “the Grand Caravan EX is engineered for challenging missions, high payloads and short, rough runways, and delivers single-engine economy and simplicity. It’s a perfect match for this mission in South America."
The UN Office for Project Services (UNOPS) managed the acquisition process, in an agreement financed by Itaipu Binacional, to increase the current response capacity of the services provided by FAP to deliver humanitarian efforts in emergency contexts. (ah)
