Movianto expands in Germany
Pharma logistics specialist Movianto will open a third German site at the VGP Park Wiesloch-Walldorf. The facility will double its national capacity for temperature-controlled pharmaceuticals and introduce deep-freeze storage for the first time in Germany. Movianto has signed a long-term lease with developer VGP. The warehouse is already built, with interior work to start in October.
Start of operations are planned in two phases in mid and late 2026. The location offers 30,000 sqm of storage space and 1,500 sqm of offices, situated near the A5/A6 motorway junction and close to SAP’s headquarters. The building targets 'Dgnb gold' certification. A photovoltaic system is excpected to generate about 3,100 MWh annually, producing more electricity than the site consumes as the company reported. (js)
