New bimodal service between Germany and Romania

Arcese has expanded its intermodal service between Germany and Romania, in order to provide more efficient connections between the industrial areas in the Ruhr Basin, Benelux, the UK and Scandinavia and such sites in Romania.

The new road-rail service includes five weekly departures with a five - six day transit time (door-to-door) and offers an opportunity to load mega semi-trailers.

Strengthening this traffic flow is part of the Arcese Group's intermodal (road-railway) service development strategy. It also meets the demand for frequent connections between Northwestern and Central Europe. Intermodal services reduce CO2 emissions by over 40%, according to Arcese. (ben)
