New full-train offers to Ludwigshafen and Basel
The railway company Metrans is expanding its intermodal network. In the future, the railway company of Hamburger Hafen und Logistik (HHLA) will offer full-train connections from the port of Hamburg to Ludwigshafen and Basel/Weil am Rhein as well as from Ludwigshafen to Basel and back.
The routes will start operating from 6 October 2013. The trains will run three times a week. With the new routes, Metrans is developing the Swiss market for the first time. The offer will be provided with its partner SBB Cargo International. (ben)
