New hinterland connection for Zeebrugge

The Germany port of Duisburg (duisport), the port of Zeebrugge and the Cosco-Shipping (CSP) Zeebrugge Terminal in Belgium have decided to increase their cooperation. The three companies have signed an agreement regarding the new rail link for combined traffic with the hinterland.

Cosco Shipping Lines recently added a weekly seafreight connection from China to Zeebrugge to its network.

A weekly shuttle train will carry goods between the CSP Zeebrugge Terminal and the Duisburg Intermodal Terminal (DIT) on logport I in the port of Duisburg. The train will be operated by duisport’s subsidiary, duisport agency (dpa). (ben)
