New non-stop connection between Italy and Germany

The ÖBB Rail Cargo Group (RCG) has launched TransFER Duisburg Venice, a non-stop rail service between the port of Venice on Italy’s Adriatic coast and the bimodal terminal in Duisburg (Germany). The train will run three times a week.

Venice will be connected to the Duisburg hub as the gateway for transports to and from Scandinavia.

In addition, TransFER Duisburg-Venice will offer ferry connections to Brindisi (Italy), Patras (Greece) and Pendik (Turkey), providing a link between northern and southern Europe and the Asian part of Turkey. (ben)
