Roadside facilities are set to improve for truck drivers using national routes in South Australia. New parking bays will be built on the Stuart Highway north of Coober Pedy and south of Glendambo, the Eyre Highway near Kimba, and the Sturt Highway east of Monash and west of Renmark.

In addition, it is planned to upgrade two parking bays on the Sturt Highway west of Nuriootpa and east of Truro. The total construction cost will be AUD 3.98 million (EUR 2.67 million). The work is expected to start this month (December) and be finished by June 2014. (ben)
