New subsidiary in Pakistan
Kerry Logistics has reinforced its foothold in Pakistan by forming a new subsidiary in the country to tap into increasing trade in South Asia, and new business opportunities along the China-Pakistan economic corridor (CPEC), part of the belt and road initiative.
The new subsidiary provides air and ocean freight, cross-border road freight to Afghanistan and China, project logistics and inland trucking services through its offices in Karachi and Lahore.
Robert Tan, Kerry's MD South and Southeast Asia, said, “We are excited about Pakistan's economic development over the past five years. My company is committed to developing an overland transport network in Asia."
Through its member company, Lanzhou Pacific Logistics, Kerry also offers multimodal freight solutions via blocktrain and trucking services along the CPEC, from China to Islamabad, Lahore and Karachi in Pakistan. (mw)
