New transload hub for US short line railroad
TNW, a privately held operator of short line railroads and transportation logistics services, opened their third transloading operation in Brownwood, Texas, on the Texas Rock Crusher Railway (TXR) line. The railroad has been serving the rail transport, storage and operations needs of companies in central Texas since 1988.
TXR operates 10 km of track at its Brownwood hub and interchanges with US class I railways BNSF. TNW in Brownwood services the Camp Bowie Industrial Park to transfer bulk materials between railcars and trucks.
The short line operator operates three short line railroads with three transload facilities in Texas and owns the largest private railcar storage facility in the United States. (ben)
