New warehouse in Malaysia operational
Clients are persistently demanding more storage space and distribution services in Malaysia’s FMCG sector. Given this scenario, GAC Malaysia has opened a new warehousing and distribution facility which more than doubles its previous capacity.
The new 4,000 pallet position centre in Bukit Raja is located 22 km from Port Kelang (Northport), 29 km from Port Kelang (Westport) and 56 km from Kuala Lumpur international airport (KLIA). It replaces the company’s previous facility in Shah Alam.
GAC Malaysia’s managing director John Tansey said that Malaysia serves as a gateway to Asean countries and the region, and is an attractive location for multinational companies.
The company has been providing contract logistics and distribution services in Malaysia since 1994, and currently has a network of offices in Petaling Jaya, Melaka, Ipoh, Penang, KLIA, Port Kelang, Johor, Lumut, Bintulu, Kemaman and Labuan. (cd)
