Nex scoops up more space in Germany
The German property developer P3 has inked a rental contract with Nex Logistics Europe for another 25,000 sqm of space in the P3 Bedburg logistics park, near Cologne. The location is P3’s second largest logistics park in Germany.
As of September 2018, the Japanese service provider will occupy the entire 65,000 sqm hall in the new logistics park. The site’s third development phase is starting this month (January) with the demolition of existing objects. When that is completed, construction work will commence on hall sectors 5, 6 and 7.
Logistics services will continue to be carried out in the 40,000 sqm area in hall sectors 1 to 4, which were handed over to Nex in May and October 2017.
Nex, a subsidiary of the Japanese logistics company Nippon Express and P3 client since 2009, provides pan-European distribution logistics for the printer manufacturer Epson. A dust-free floor will be installed in the hall to ensure correct storage conditions for electronic parts. (mw)
