Nippon and Mas sign block space agreement
Nippon Cargo Airlines (NCA) and Aerotransportes Mas de Carga (Mas) have announced a block space agreement effective from the Iata winter season 2025. This partnership allows both airlines to leverage each other's flights to enhance freight services and expand their networks.
Under the agreement, NCA will utilise Mas-operated flights on the Los Angeles (LAX) – Guadalajara (GDL) and Los Angeles (LAX) – Mexico City (NLU) routes, while mas will operate NCA flights on the Narita (NRT) – LAX and LAX – NRT routes. NCA president, Hiroyuki Homma, remarked that this collaboration will help meet customer demands and strengthen their global network, especially as freight volumes grow between Asia and Mexico in the automotive and electronics sectors. Meanwhile, Mas CEO, Robert Van De Weg, expressed enthusiasm for extending their network with NCA, known for its reliability, to improve service to Japan and other Asian destinations.
