Palau Registry chasing ships
The Palau International Ship Registry (Pisr) is hunting for more vessels to sail under its flag. The signing of two new ship registrations during Seatrade Middle East 2018 (STMM) in Dubai last month already marked a further fleet enlargement.
Jamal S Khalil, general manager of Al Rafedain Marine Services, signed the documents to register the two ships on the Palau stand at STMM. He was supported by the Global Marine Consultants Group, one of the partners of Pisr.
Panos Kirnidis, CEO of the registry, welcomed the new signing as another example of how far Pisr has developed in just a few years: “From being the newest registry in the industry just over five years ago, we are now recognised as the fastest growing flag.” (kd)
